120 Film Processing in the UK

Well I have just finished shooting my first set of 120 film on my newly accquired 203FE and now I need to process the film.

Can anybody recommend a good processing house that is reasonably priced? The film is colour negative and I would also like the film scanned to CD-ROM at the same time.

I would also like to shoot on colour reversal film but I don't what I should go for and if this can also be scanned to CD.

Eventually I would like a digital back but this will have to wait a while!

Any advice and help will be appreciated.

Kevin

From the research I have done (being new to the format and not knowing anything), 120 film developing and printing services generally cost between £20 and £13 per roll depending on where you go, and the size of prints required.

Transparency film can be scanned as easily as negative film (See subject in 'Digital Darkroom' here)

I live in rural France, and photo labs are few and far between, so I develop them myself. You don't need a darkroom - just a changing bag to load the film, and a water supply...

I realise this doesn't answer your question, but it's perhaps worth a thought.

Have you tried Metro or Genesis or Bayeaux labs in London? I use Metro lab all the time.

Welcome here at Hasselblad info forum and thank you for mentioning labs in the UK.

120 film processing

Try Tempo photographic in Abbey walk, Heath & Reach, Leighton Buzzard;
they specialise in this and a roll of 120 trannie costs £4 just for processing. He is ex Leica, and his work is excellent- 4day turnaround.
