40mm CFE Distagon problems.

I've just discovered that my 40mm Distagon is not really focussing properly. Set to infinity there appears to be a slightly sharper zone of focus between the far distance and the camera. In close ups sharp focus is forward of the set focus. I don't think it's the camera body since this does not happen with my 80mm lens where the focus is as it should be. I fell on ice at the biginning of the year and the camera hit the ground too, the CFV sensor was dislodged but has been repaired at the factory in Denmark but it may be that the lens has been damaged too although all the shutter/focus/aperture rings are silky smooth, the shutter works and there is no visible damage.

What do you think I should do?

Have it checked at a reputable repair shop/technician. The FLE lenses
are more sensitive to bumps etc. Impossible to judge without proper measuring equipment.

Offer the lens for a check and service to an official Hasselblad service center.
These service centers have the necessary equipment and expertise to check lenses with floating elements and correct problems they find.

It may even be necessary to send the lens back to Hasselblad in Göteborg for repair.
