First question: the magazine crank.

Yup, my 501 arrived, and I'm completely happy.
However, I've noticed that when I load film, the crank on the A12 magazine stops 180 degrees from where it should, so that I can't fold it in- the crank handle thingy ends up resting on the inside, not on the outside where it looks more 'locked'.
After the first exposure I adjust it, but is there a trick to getting it right from the start? The manual says 'refold the crank', as if this isn't an issue.
Understand what I mean?

I'm loving this so far, and can't wait to see the results tomorrow. :)

Unless there is a problem with the crank mechanism you can turn the handle anti clockwise to lock it in the right position.

Haha - I actually thought about trying that, but I wanted to verify that it doesn't turn the roll backwards.
Thanks.

Sometimes photographic life can be quite simple.

Turning the crank anti clockwise only goes for automatic magazines called A12/A16/A24.

If you turn the key on older 12/16/24 magazines you reset the frame counter.
Not a disaster untill you notice you have lost a number of exposures........
