H Lens Firmware corruption

My H6D will not recognizes my HC 50mm II lens. It had firmware 19.1 on it, but (by mistake) I attempted to update this firmware again and it stoped midway. I now believe that the firmware is corrupted.

Does this make sense? Can it be fixed?

SORRY. I did contact Hasselblad and they responded right away (I really appreciate that) but as I kept working it, it did come back to working. Not sure how or why, but happy that it did.

I mainly just gave it time, with no battery attached. I would then put it back on any try. Take the battery off and give it more time. For a number of times it just read "NO LENS", but then it just worked.

Not sure why it wanted to update the firmware, when it already had the latest version. But at least it is working now.

I did ask Hasselblad if the HC/HCD lenses can be upgraded to 'orange dot' spec (have read conflicting stuff on line), will see what they say. As I am now only using a H1 and H6D it really does not matter, but perhaps in the future it might.

I have a 100mm HC lens where the autofocus was not working properly - sent it to Hasselblad for repair -
When they inspected the lens, one of the focus gears had broken teeth.
They also noticed that the aperture was not stopping down accurately.
The only solution was to replace the shutter assembly (shutter and aperture is all one unit) -
At that time (about 5 years ago) they only used the new spec (orange) shutter assemblies for replacements.
So the lens now has a 1/2000 top speed and the latest firmware (at that time) - basically an orange dot lens.
The price - $1616 for the shutter unit + $105 for the broken focus gear + $145 labor.
So, yes it can be upgraded (that was 5 years ago - I don't know if they still do it, or the current price).

Thanks, Hasselblad also told me that they can do this, price is about the same.
