Infrared "trip wire"

Can anyone recommend an infrared trigger system for catching wildlife, which works with the CW winder?

I'd like to experiement with this type of "trip wire" technique, but can't quite fathom the DIY solutions I have found online.

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.
