Just got my 2000 FC/M from Polarcircle

Questions about my 'new' 2000 FC/M

as i said, just got it from Polarcircle and true to his word its in great condition......a couple of questions....

1. using C lenses.....what do i do put it on the B setting and change the apertures only?

2. when changing A12 backs the rear 'cloth' shutter sort of goes into a strange half-cock position when i take it off......if i fire the release it goes to normal....this is normal i take it or is there something i have to be doing?

Not the speed in B but in "C" if you want C mode.
There is a security that avoid killing the shutter when you have no back: The shutter move.
Then you have to reload the 2000fc.
Really important to read manual first. One say that 2000F break easy. In fact if it works, then it will work a very long time except if you put your finger in the shutter.

I have one 2000FC/M for sale too, but I think that the potential buyer need to pass a test before

Great, i figured it all out......then i read the manual too and confirmed stuff......

...so the battery is to operate the shutter....got it.....

bummer is the 1/90 flash synch.....regardless I can go to C lens 1/500 synch if need be......

The 2000 need a battery to work. But if the battery is almost dead, then you may try to use "C" mode to finish the battery. However, you first need to clock the body.

The 2000 bodies eat a battery in 3 years or 2000 shots only. In fact the battery load a condensator and the condensator is used to works the shutter. In this way the body is always ready to shot like a manual body.
No need to wake-up the electronic to shot imediately....like a Mg flash !
