New Focus and Back lens correction compatibilty ?

hi, every one, my first post here !

I've just check the hasselblad PDF about their new back for V, and it says :

Digital lens correction supports the following lenses: Supported lenses are:CF/CFE 40 FLE, CFE 40 IF, CFi 50 FLE, CFi/CFE 80, CFi/CFE120, CFi 150, CFE/CFE 180, CFi 250, CFE 250 Sa and CFE 350 Sa.

but considering the fact that there's no data transfert between the lens and the back on a V, i can't see why it won't be compatible with the similar lens in CF or CB mount ?
i believe that you have to tell focus what is the lens used and the focus distance... so if you are using a 80 CF and type 80 CFE it should works...

I can't understand why the 100 and the 60 aren't in the list !?

Corrections are customised for lenses from a certain generation not just for any focal length.

The 100 is not in the list probably because there is not much to be corrected anyway.
The 100 is a near zero distortion lens with extreme resolution and low CA.
Much undervalued and too often second choice where it deserves to be first choice for a lens with standard focal length.

Could well be Hasselblad is trying to forget CB lenses although these are often underrated which is not justified.
The 120CB is completely forgotten, the others do not get much attention either.

If the 60 CB uses the same optical formula as the 60CFi it would be useful to try those corrections and see what happens.

Hasselblad will be adding to the list of lenses for the V system and be included in the release of Phocus 2.0. It does take our Optical Specialist in Sweden a fair amount of time to generate the proper lookup/reference tablesfor each additional lens.

"so if you are using a 80 CF and type 80 CFE it should works..." If the optical formula is identical then you can certainly utilize the appropriate lens setting. As an example Phocus V Lens Corrections list the CF 80, you can use this setting for the CFE80 or the CFi80.

Amazing the 250SA lens is mentioned in the list of lenses for which correction is possible.
The CFE version is by far the rarest.
Of course these corrections can also be used for the C and CF versions of that lens.
They all carry the same optical formulae.
