Hi,
I'm Dave Burt from North Wales UK, I'm in the process of moving from 35mm to MF, most of my work is landscape & macro/wildlife. I've tried a H2D-39 for a day, the images were outstanding in quality & depth of colour. I was also impressed with the viewfinder, such a large viewing area compared to 35mm, made life a lot easier for scanning around the viewfinder ensuring composition was spot on etc.
Initially I was looking to purchase the H4D-40, however, looking at the historical timeline for Hasselblad it would suggest there could be an announcement at Photokina. At Photokina-2009 the H4d was announced, will the H5D be announced this year? Its just that most 35mm camera manufacturer's discount/cashback on models to clear stock before announcing a new model, in June of this year Hasselblad announced a cashback type system for just camera's & backs but not lenses, is this the prelude for H5D by reducing stocks of H4D & backs?
The big question - should I buy the H4D or wait?
