I have a PME45 finder as well as a VFC finder adjusted by Hasselblad for the 42165 Acute Mat screens that I use in my 503Cx and 500CM. When adjusted for the correct max lens opening and the PME45 set on average mode the finders read 1 EV number different. The manual states that an adjustment factor has to be programmed in to the PME45 finder for use with this screen to give an extra 1/3 to 2/3 EV values as the finder is optimized for the Acute Mat D screens. This does indeed work however another responder in a different forum says that this adjustment is only valid when using the averaging mode and not the spot reading mode. That would mean I would have to unprogram or reprogram the compensation factor every time I switch metering modes which doesn't make much sense to me. Does anyone have any experience with This?
