SWC/M Question

Yes you can only by way of factory modification. My SWC/M ( one of the only cameras I truly regret selling) was a black non t* star lens. It started out as a SWC and was modified at the factory. They even changed the name plate on it.
 
All factory SWC/M cameras have a black C series lens with T* coating.

All older models that is pre 1980 are modified cameras.

There is a small number of SWC cameras with black T* coated lenses that were not yet fitted with the M parts.
