The H2 to H4X Upgrade

Anyone thinking of making this upgrade?

Or has anyone on it?

I am looking into accessing som of my super (I'm 50, after all!) & going for this. Price here $AUD6,500.00

Also, will my HV90x viewfinder be good enough or do I need to upgrade it too?

No idea Dieter, I haven't done the upgrade yet. Hasselblad say it should but I have read of people having problems and am now consiodering just selling it all, or selling the back and trading the H2 on a complete camera.

I have tried the H4x on my P45+ and it worked flawlessly. I personally would not buy one unless needed as the $6000 price point for an UPGRADE is a bit steep imo considering you only gain the af assist light and true focus. For my needs it would be wiser to buy a used H1 or H2 as a backup.

Anyways, the Hasselblad rep said that people only do it for a few reasons. Either they need the true focus (shooting portraits wide open at f2.2 on the 100) or because their body has half a million clicks and they need the latest. As far as the P and P+ backs it works. The IQ backs have had some issues which is soon to be completely resolved.

I also would not like to give up Capture One for Phocus.

Thanks to everyone who has replied, it has been helpful in clarifying my thoughts. Still cogitating but leaning away from the upgrade now.
