There is also one in stunning red.
Nice opportunity to start a collection of these 60th anniversary versions.
Only takes 7000 euro or 10.000 USD to get one.

Fortunately, the red just doesn't strike my fancy, as the saying goes....but the blue....Wow! I never expect to actually own one, but it sure is nice to look at. :)

You can get great kits to convert a black leatherette body and film back to the color you prefer.
How about a snake skin 500C and film back?

Paul

I'm stuck on the blue Paul. With the silver Zeiss lens. :z04_cowboy:

Maybe that's what I should do however, pick up an older 500CM, silver 50mm lens and the blue camera leather kit (cameraleather.com?). Sure would be nice to have.....and a lot cheaper than the 60th Anniversary model!

Gary

I know converting a 500 series body into a special can be fun.

I have seen a black paint one with the black paint changed to grey Hammerite.
Absolutely stunning

Steve,

My supplier has agreed to make a small series of special Hammerite 500CM bodies complete with A12 backs.

Where should we send the 12 kits?

Paul

Hi Paul. What is this Hammerite you've mentioned? Got a pic of one with that treatment?

Gary

Hello Gary,

It is somewhere in hasselbladinfo forum...........

I tried to locate the post but did not succeed yet.

Found it:

Photoshop?

Here is another one.

Is this a real camera or just a photoshop job?

Photoshop job or not, I can symphatise with the idea to use Hammerite instead of the lousy black paint job Hasselblad put on the V-series!

Hmm.... I should have Hammerite paint left from painting my milling machine.

Anyone willing to volunteer an old V-series shell for the experiment?

Yes Gary , I can understand you very well .

But there are two big disadvantages with these commemorative cameras .
First is , that they are very expensive .
Second is , you will probably never use them and only touch them with cotton gloves .
I know what I am talking about .

Nice brass/blue 503CX Juergen.
Needs to be polished from time to time?

Beautiful camera Jurgen! Good thing these cameras are out of my price range at the moment.

Gary

Is that brass or gold plating?

Very expensive looking.....whichever it is!

Gary

The camera is gold plated .
I got this camera some years ago just by luck . Two bidders only .
Price was 2100€ .
