553ELX Prerelease Won't Fire

Hello

I'm a new to Hasselblad and medium format. I'm so glad I found this forum and hope you guys can help me out.

I purchased a 553ELX and everything worked fabulously. Today I used the prerelease function for the first time (S on the dial). Everything seemed to be in order, the lens shutter closed, secondary shutter opened, and mirror flipped up. When I pressed the shutter plate to take my exposure nothing happens. Yes the dark slide is out. Am I doing something wrong? Now the camera is just locked up in prerelease mode and I can't even take the lens off because the shutter is closed. What am I doing wrong?

Doesn't sound good.

Are you sure that the LOT-lever is in the O position?

I have noticed that I often move, by accident, the lever to the L position.

i don't know what happened, but today i woke up and tried the shutter and it was all fine again
