60mm CFi discontinued?

I was just browsing my favorite online dealer Robert White, and took a look at the 60mm CFi. However, it says that it is discontinued from September 2009. Does this mean Zeiss doesn't make it anymore, or Robert White simply does not stock it?

I cannot find any more info on it.

Thanks,

Mc

I think that it is safe to say that if you want to buy a brand new Hasselblad V-system lens, you better buy it now.

The lenses are made by Zeiss for Hasselblad in batches according to demand. I know that one year ago there still was some production. I do not know the current status.

It seems CZ has lost all interest in lenses for Hasselblad V series cameras.
Existing stock of parts has been bought by Hasselblad Sweden.
Zeiss does not accept any lenses for service and refers all enquiries to Hasselblad Sweden.
As far as I know there is no more production of V series lenses at the moment.

I just tried a cfv-39 (37x49mm) few days ago.
As every body understand the help of a 40mm IF lens for the CFV-16 (37x37mm), I pretend that the 60mm is the prior lens for the CFV-39.
It's like a 35mm for a Leica-M; the 60mm is a light and close to perfect lens.
I bought mine 20 years ago and most of my pictures were made with it until I discover the heavy FE 50mm 2.8
A new 60mm CFE IF lens with Apo properties witch open at 2.0 or 2.8 is welcome on my F bodies. And it should be possible as Scheider made a 80mm 2.0 with central shutter years ago.

This would be my dream too. The perspective is great. I'm also in love with 50 2.8 but for one thin.. its heavy when dangling around the neck and at the airport.

There are two versions of the 50/2.8 lens:

The first model weighing "only" 1240 grs gives MOD of 32 cm.

The later lens is 1040 grs due to a modified helicoid.
It uses the same glass elements and has a MOD of 42 cm.
The later lens has a different front end barrel.
I will try to get some pics of both lenses to show the difference.
