A new commemorative 503CW

Color games.

Like Jürgen I was not too fond of all these colored cameras except the yellow one.
That camera is so loud it begs to be seen and bought.

Instead I was offered a forrester green one and bought this 503CW.
In the mean time I have had the good news Hasselblad still supplies kits to convert A12 backs.
The kit with green leatherette is on its way from Sweden to my supplier.

Thanks Mike for pointing out this A12 in Hong Kong.
It wotld have cost more than my 503 CW with AM "D" and WLF not even taking into account duty and VAT.

A clean A12 late model can be found around 250 euro.
Add to that the cost of the green leatherette still does not meet the price for the green A12 in Hong Kong.

I am quite happy this option is still available.

Paul

Sounds like you've found the most cost-effective answer, Paul. That's at least 2 times recently where Hasselblad had the parts/pieces at much lower cost than the secondary market (the other was the cap for my chimney finder).
Cheers,
Mike

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL ( POLYPAL )

I wish you all the best and as for your moderator job , stay as you are .
I think you are doing a very good job .

:z04_smiliebath: This little icon shows , that Paul is trying to test his newly aquired HASSELBLAD under water housing .
Paul , please note , that when the foam has settled down , you might be able to see something .

My very best regards
Jürgen .

Gooood morninnnnnn!

Hello Jürgen,

Thanks Jürgen!

I too hope the soap grows less.
Your 50 mm lens did not like it one bit.
It is a good time as any to inform you there is a small leak somewhere in the UW housing.
The UW housing needs more tests. Could you send me the 40 mm IF?

Paul

Sorry Paul

I can not send you the 40 IF , because I dropped it yesterday .
And it it was marked : not for use in moderators bathroom .
But I can send you a 6x6 LOMO , if that would do .

Jürgen

You should know better Jürgen.
LOMO is no good under water, we need wide angles for that purpose.

A pity you dropped the 40 IF.
Does your toe still hurt?
The IF is a heavy dude!

Paul

Great Marketing Job

What a great marketing job. You get the CFV-39 for less than the double amount

Today I found a new 503CW commemorative 503CW .
She is to celebrate
60 years of cooperation between Carl Zeiss and Victor Hasselblad

Here she is .
View attachment 1488

The price is ca.6500 € . For the double amount you get a CFV-39 including free shipping .

Jurgen it looks brilliant and superb with the new classic lens fitted.

That Gold commemorative camera you have is marvelous. I can actually understand why you've never shot with it - the gold plating would show up marks. Looks great with the blue leatherette.

The classic lens line was an obvious desire to fill the gaps in the original silver lens line - add the more recent focal length designs not done in that era such as the 180mm. A marketing exercise. But, the wonderful thing is that they possess the current optical designs, coatings etc..

Let's hope that these initiatives add good volume to Hasselblad's sales!!! :)

This new commemorative 503CW does NOT appeal to me .
Optically , for me , she just has a cold look . But that is a personal thing . Others might fall in love with her . And there is nothing you can do better with her than with her black sister .
My 503CX golden blue was just a third in price . I do love her , but will not use her in any way . And , she does not need to be fed .:)

Zeiss Classic Lens on 60th B'Day Kit - Off-Topic?

As I looked at Jurgen's new kit, I wondered if anyone here has any shooting experience with any of these new "classic" lenses?
Cheers,
Mike

Mike
There is a misunderstanding here .
It is NOT my new kit . I found the image when I was looking into E-bay and thought , I should post it here .
And . . . . I have no shooting experience with my golden blue either .
She is just a wonderful collectors item .
Jürgen

Ah, my apologies for the misunderstanding, Jurgen. I'm still interested in the classic lens performance, so I'll start a new thread.
Cheers,
Mike

The blue/gold is beautifull to my eyes. But the the ZV has one avantage for one who use the gear: the hood !
I always use hood, so the gold ring of the CF lens is a bad idea: not visible and perfect to add flare on the film.
The ZV lens has special round metalic hood but black inside.

Blowupster

All three ZV CLASSIC lenses use 67 E screw-in filters and have an outer bajonett SERIE 60 .
That means , all three lenses could use the known HASSELBLAD lens hoods .
I could not find any information about a round metallic lens hood for these lenses .
Where did you get this information from ? ? ?

Never seen any lens hood for the ZV series lenses.
I will ask my friends at Zeiss what they offer.
The 50 mm ZV lens could do with the old shade for the C 50 mm lens.
That is a round metal one.

The marketing for Hasselblad V is so bad, that you need to visite the "B" to know what they sell !

Particulary better for flash or spirit lever users !
However the CF50mm use B-70 hood (?)

I do not agree: View attachment HAPL0409.pdf

This current price list shows what is available.
Other discontinued item on request.

I suppose HB USA and most other countries have similar price lists.
With a little effort this information is available for all users.

ZV lenses are an initiative from CZ and are also marketed by Zeiss.

All information is available from Zeiss: http://www.zeiss.com/4125681C00466C26/allBySubject/A702C1F5D9CAF450C12575900051D7BB
