Blad 203fe and Nikon SB 80DX Flash

Hi there!
I have the above Nikon Flash. I want to try it with 203FE and I am using the camera with the 45 degree V/finder and it dosent take the Nikon flash mount and have only << COLD SHOE..>> how should I do this ? Perhaps off the camera code plus a bracket. I don't concern with Camera TTL Flash.

Anyone having experience using the same gear? Or any other simple flash system to suggest? I have a Husselblad TTL dedicated Flash cord as well.

Any suggestions would be welcom.

Thank you for those who give me the answers and suggestions

It all depends on the options the Nikon flash offers.

Sorry that I can not help you here because I do not have any information regarding the Nikon flash.

I am trying to consult The Calumet in London .Perhaps they could come up with some suggestion.

Get a flash shoe adapter like this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/89982-REG/Hama_HA_6952_Hot_Shoe_Adapter_2.html

Slide it on the flash shoe on the prism, connect the cord to the PC connection on the camera body, mount your flash and set your flash to A, automatic. Set the flash to the F stop you want to use on the camera and you're good to go. Also set the flash head to the widest angle setting so you are sure to cover the format. You can test fire the flash to see if you are at the right distance from the subject

When I had a Kiev finder I had the same problem as you. I ended up getting a Denis Reggie SQ66 (or something like that) bracket. That allowed me to put the flash unit (a Sunpak 422D with the Hasselblad adapter) onto it. It's a pretty daunting and serious looking setup but it works well. I've seen it used for pretty cheap.

I never did use my Nikon SB-24 with the gear. I guess with a PC sync cord attached it should work fine.

Good luck!
