When you view an image, you should see the counter, immediately below the image towards the middle left side.
If you don't see the counter, press the large "i" button - the one on the lower left of the back. You can press it a few times, and it will bring up the counter, the histogram, and shooting data, as it goes through its series.
Ah sorry. I should have explained myself properly. I have a buyer who is interested in the camera, who would like to know the totalt number of actuations on it. I thought the back might have some kind of counter which tells the number of pictures through it's lifetime.
