CFV issue

Just received my CFV back from Hasselblad in Denmark. Was cleaned because some sort of material (mold?) developed between sensor and protective glass. Hasselblad cleaned ($491USD) but failed to say how this happened or how to prevent in future. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what preventive measures do you take? Thanks.

I don't know anything about this, but how do you store the back? Is it humid/warm etc.

Sofar no problems like this were reported at the forum.
Please let us know more about the conditions you used the CFV.

Mold can develop inside any semi closed cavity under conditions of high moisture and large temperature changes.

It's a fungal growth, happened to me too. I now keep my digital back in a plastic container and about 20 packets of silica gel to absorb the moisture. Hasn't happened again.

Does anyone know about recommendations for storing a digital back .
What temperature and what maximum humidity ? ? ?

The humidity in my room , varies , as in most rooms , between 40% and 60% . I have not discovered any problems so far on the sensors or on any of my lenses .

Specifications for non-operational aka storage/transport conditions should be in the product documentation.

40-60% is on the dry side, 70% and more than that is quite common. So that should be no problem
