The easiest way is to find a suitable adapter that allows the use of current release cables.
These adapters were supplied by Hasselblad after the old style release cables became NLA.
One of our most esteemed FUC members was so annoyed he could not find those little gems he decided to produce a small series of these adapters.

Send Jürgen Loob a well motivated pm and you might end up with a beautifully made adapter.

I have misused Jürgens generosity for the last time.
He has sent the last pair of beautifully made adapter and cap for the 1600F/1000F cameras to 1000F.

All others interested have bad luck untill the need arises for a second run of these items.
Do not hold your breath, it may take some time.

A new serie of the adapter + cap will only be made if the requestor promises to order and pay for 100 pieces .
That in turn would actually mean that he/she has 100 .. 1600F/1000F/SWA/SW cameras or has some other reason for that little beast .

A 100 of these early cameras, that is a challenge! I think I will not get there anytime soon. Having 100 working cameras means also using them regularly to keep them healthy which is a bit time consuming.

I am not at liberty to disclose who but I know someone who comes quite close to a hundred working early F cameras.....

No, it is not me.
I am the happy owner of two 1600F and two 1000F cameras and a number of early super wides.
That is quite enough for me to handle.
Once these older cameras are soughted out they perform with the same reliability later cameras are known for.

I received the adapter and dust cover today in the post!

I do have one question... and you will have to bear with me asking something silly because I am a relative newcomer to the Hasselblad System... but how do I install it? :blush::blush:

Cable release adapter

Just screw the adapter in here .

The thread is at this position for the 1600F and the 1000F camera .
For the SWA and SW cameras this thread can be found at the front just next to the release button .
