First ever roll - not good...

Better throw it all out to save us some more embarresment............ Vic.

The one after that is: Starting to load film having forgotten that there's already a film in the tank.

... and then: using wash water to develop the film and fixing it before realising the error.

Jeez, I'm so experienced ! ha.

The world record for loading an A12 back is 17 seconds.....
If you are not that fast and need to change film quickly simply get a couple more magazines and load them before the shoot.

Vic.

Or better yet: the 500 exposures back :)

Schoolboy error on the film.... (hangs head in shame...)

I had forgotten to put the reel on the black spindle - all that lovely light from the room was entering the tank through the fill hole...

Sorry for wasting your time, folks :(

My scanner arrives tomorrow, so I am looking forward to scanning some of the film that I DIDN'T ruin myself ;)

Paterson tank maybe? Hm, never did that. Did forget the sealing ring once. That does not cause a light leak, but the first tilt turned into your's truly muttering something in the 'Rated R' category. Film was developed succesfully using the spool rotation thingy instead of tilting the tank.

We all learn.. (well, most of us anyway, the rest go and become politicians :) )

At least you have also found a small light leak in your film magazine.

Your first pics show you are learning pretty fast, my compliments.

Vic.
