Hi there,

I know that this forum doesnt fully support the advertising of camera stores, but could some users PM me with some good European stores with nice used Hassselblad ( V ) systems ?

I lived in London and know the "usual" ones there - RobertWhite, Pro Center, Aperture, FFordes...

But what about outside UK ? Im clueless.

I know that in the USA there are many good deals to be had, but import duty is just nonsense hence I would like European dealers only.

Cheers

The ones you named should cover your needs quite well.
On the continent there is Leica shop Wien with a selection of Hasselblads and SHC in Germany, probably the largest dealer of new and used Hasselblad cameras in the world.

I can't find the website for SHC, can you give us the link?

thanks

BTW, LeicaShop are wonderful people to deal with, but their website is not updated very often, so If you see something you like in their website I'd suggest you contact them by email to confirm it's still available.

SHP does not have a site but uses ebay to offer their stock.

Go to ebay.de

Select: item 230423401462 and take it from there.

By choosing "other items for sale" you will find part of their inventory.

Contact information can be found at the bottom of the ad.

SHPHOTO has a site : shphoto.de. There is a large selection of NEW as well as second hand Hasselblads.

Do not believe the descriptions given for their secondhand articles. I had the impression that they take no time at all to check the function of the articles or whether they are complete (I guess a missing wind crank on a magazine deserves mentioning etc). At least it is no problem to return things.

Are you saying that they might over look something like a missing mirror?

Steve

The mirror is hidden inside the camera. You really have to go into detail to find it missing...

I want my cameras slightly shaken (not stirred). Cameras exhibiting rattling sounds better be avoided.

SHP certainly has good knowledge of Hasselblad cameras and lenses.
The problem is not all members of staff are equally qualified.

It is best to call them and ask details especially when items need to be declared at customs.
Any duty or salestax is lost for items that have to be returned.

If possible ask for Boris Jamchtchik.
He is the owner. He knows Hasselblad equipment very well.

Hello,

The best address in France is the store "Le Moyen Format" ("The Medium Format"), located in Paris, near Bastille Square. They have a huge stock of used items and have close partnership with Hasselblad of France.

You can check their website here :

and their used stock here :

Cheers.

Great shop with an enormous stock but prices seem totally absurd.
Most lenses are priced two or three times the current price at other dealers.
What about a 150CF lens for 1250 euro?
A 150CF in as new condition was recently sold for 820 euro at ebay.

Amore than average decent 150CF can be found for less than 600 euro.

Hi Paul,

It really depends on opportunities. I agree that their prices are sometimes too high but sometimes they can be cheap : I missed a very nice CFE 250/5.6 SA at €1,400 there a couple of years ago!! :z04_head_wall:

S/H Hasselblad in Europe.

Hi,
We have just returned from a weekend away in Amsterdam and found a good dealer in Zaandam - 2 stops out on the train from Amsterdam Centraal, called Foto Abro. Nice shop, friendly staff - half the shop was dedicated to used quality gear, (i.e. a whole H'blad showcase, one for Nikon, one for Canon, one for large format etc., etc. - the other half of the shop to new microscopes/scopes. Open Thursday to Saturday, see :
http://www.fotoabro.nl/
One day the pound will get better against the euro !
Cheers,
Mike.
