H3DII-39 versus CFV-39

Lens effects aside, are there image quality differences between the H3DII-39 and the CFV-39? The images I've seen from the CFV-39 seem smoother and richer in tone than those of the H3DII-39, though some of these comparisons were of online crops, which are of course unreliable as a basis for comparison. (By the way, yes, I know that the H3DII-39 is an integrated H system camera and back combination while the CFV-39 is a back for the V system--my question is about image quality differences of the sensors, not the differences in the systems or the lenses used on them.) There's no difference between the two sensors, the difference you are seeing is down to the lenses as the CFV39 images will have been shot with Zeiss lenses and the H3D39 images (most likely) shot with the Fujinon glass.
