Ulrik, The 4 30mm fisheye's would be no small feat! A great idea for the rook's though.

I've once seen a handcrafted (milled, turned) chess set similar to this. On EvilBay no less.

Considerable amounts of $$ needed to change hands to obtain it. I don't think it was sold in the end.

I suppose this concerns scaled down versions of these lenses.
How about playing chess with scale 1:1 lenses?

Like Ulrik I am not sure I can come up with 16 standard lenses as pawns.
Together I do not doubt we can come up with eight silver and eight black C 80 lenses.

It must be less weird than the suggestion I read to have a 40 mm IF lens with Hasselblad body and CFV back as ornament on a car bonnet or hood as the Americans say.
