I foolishly rushed while putting the lens hood on my XCD 90V and managed to twist it on crooked. I tried rocking it back and forth, twisting it gently, and in every other way I could think of, but couldn't get it off the lens. Since I didn't want to do anything that would damage the lens, I decided to contact Hasselblad support (the USA support branch). They replied to my email, saying they would be glad to remove it. The cost? Only $30.00 to cover their shipping costs. I carefully packed the lens and sent it via FedEx. The lens and hood (removed) arrived back to me today. A couple of things stood out during this process. First, the reasonable cost. Second, the rapid turnaround; third, the excellent communication of the service department. I was thoroughly impressed.
Since I haven't seen anything highlighting Hasselblad's outstanding support, I wanted to post this.
