How loud are the Hasselblad vs other SLR MF camera?

This is due to the mirror mechanism and I think cameras with Central shutters are a bit less noisy than Focal plane ones. I guess! Correct me if I am wrong!

I don't think many MF SLRs will be louder than my Fuji GX680II, certainly my H1 is positively quiet beside it.

In studio I realy like my old FC/M 2000 for the noise. The model knows exactly when the shot is made and understand when to change position. The motorized FE203 is not bad too. One day I will succed to get a FC/W2003 to get the best noise trigger.
Years ago I had to take picture of a girl but was not realy inspired. I did not know how to begin to get "the picture" with my FC/M 2000 after a while ok I shoot one then took time to watch the viewfinder as I did not understand what was false in this picture. Then I watch at her.. And she asked me very sad "Did I break the camera ?"

You are correct. The 2000 cameras are louder than the 500 series. More modern 20x series are more damped than the older cameras and not so loud. Whether they behave better in terms of mirror shake is not something I've experienced in my photos. The only true test is to use a "seismometer" and measure the frequency and duration of shaking.

Generally true. Never tried one of the old focal plane Zenza Bronicas (S2/S2A)? They would have waked a lethargic bear!
Cordially Ale
