How are the Image Banks attached? I can't seem to find anything about them.

Hi Shelby

First, it was a pleasure to finally meet you in person in NY.
The Image Bank II connect via firewire 800 cable from Bank to Digital Magazine.

Here is the link to the manual located on the Hasselblad USA website, Manual.

I order to download the manual you will need to register with the website, after doing so, you will have access to manuals dating back to the 50's, datasheets, Firmware, Software and technical areas on the website.

Excellent! I offer a mini Hasselblad University event there the first tuesday of each month. We review H Hardware and Phocus software. It would be well worth your time.

Where is that Paul?

I'm in NYC from time to time and would love to sit in as well as meet you.

I'm looking into swapping up from a H3D/39 to a H4D/60 and my dealer has come through with the right numbers to make it a better possibility.

BTW, I know you can't respond to competitive pronouncements, but I tested the Leica S2, and Hasselblad doesn't have much to worry about : -)

Good to read Hasselblad does not have to worry much about the S2.
Besides IQ and handling I can think of a number of other reasons.

I am located in Parsippany, NJ but my territory covers Maine to Washington DC. I am in New York quite often working with photographers and of course our dealers.

S2, i always find it far better to speak of the positive attributes of Hasselblad and what we as an organization bring to the table vs. discussing our competitors and their products.

Spoken like a true gentleman.
This is the way a camera with history in MF going back to the late fourties should be promoted.

Off topic:
Expected the restoration story of an early 1600F camera.
These cameras were true horrors for repairmen 60 years ago.
With patience, a strong budget and a determinned technician the camera is now in fully working condition.
It even reaches the 1/1600 shutterspeed.

I totally agree with this. I wish others would take this same approach. This statement is impressive.

Oh, I think the S2 will do okay in the marketplace. Maybe tap into some of the DSLR users looking to move up but in a more familiar form. It is a very nice camera with lenses like you would expect from Leica.

But it is not a modular systems digital camera like Hasselblad and Mamiya/Phase One. I use my digital back on a view camera, and many landscape shooters use tech cameras like ALPA with a digital back ... so it has to be an added system not a replacement. It is very expensive for an added system.
