Can anyone tell me if the old SWC viewfinder in metal, have the same optical distortion as the current plastic one? I like the current viewfinders ergonomics, but the frames is just far less precise than the Voigtlander 6x6 Anglefinder.

Are there any alternatives to the Hasselblad and Voigtlanders?

There's one for sale her: http://cgi.ebay.ph/Mint-Hasselblad-...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a5c238737

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

Besides distortion there is parallax to be reckoned with.
I believe the old torpedo style view finder is worse when it comes to distortion.
Better keep the later square shaped one.
Never used the Voigtländer view finder, they are quite rare and difficult to find now.
Accurate framing etc can only be done with a groundglass and the RMfx finder.
Groundglass can be found the RMfx finder is not so easy to find.
Drop me a line if you need one.

Vic.

Thanks for the help. I already have the rmfx but like to shoot fast, handheld.
