Are three consecutive shots taken one after another or are the color channels just separated from a single shot, sort of like the Foveon sensor?
Thanks for any input.

Please note there is also 16 shot MS!
Thank you, Paul. What would you say is the length of time between each image taken in MS mode? I ask because some of the still-life applications require "painting with light". I assume that technique is not possible with MS?
Can you not "paint with flash light", using 2 pairs of pocket wizards, firing the camera with one pair, and the flash(s) with the other, so that I could walk round e.g. a cathedral with 4 Metzs, taking a series of pictures, eliminating low ambient with the high sync speed, taking some ambient pix as well if required, and putting together a picture in PS?You can set the Flash Duration from the
However, in single shot mode and the digital magazine menu set to Pinhole, you can "paint with light" provided you are photographing in a dark room.

I have not tried this, but I cannot see why it would not work.
¿A Metz 76 gives you about f8 @ 8m @100 asa, 4m @ 50 asa, so with 2 76s and 2 72s, I should be able to light up a bay of a cathedral with a couple of shots (one main (away from the camera) and one fill)?
¿...and you can increase res by putting your Hasselblad back on a Sinar with a stitching back..?
