Positive Purchase Experiences

Hi, all - I wanted to share two positive recent purchase experiences. First, a new 100 CFi from Boris at SH Photo in Nuremberg, and second a new 180 CFi from Igor's Camera Exchange in Cleveland, Ohio. In both cases, the lenses and documents were perfect, the packing was careful and appropriate, and both were shipped as promised without drama. My thanks to both.

Paul, it may be a good idea to have a forum section on dealings with commercial sellers. Photo.net does and it is an excellent resource. Ours would be for MF related dealings.

People add company names like threads and then over time members post comments about their experiences.

Hello Simon,

I have no problem with occasional mentioning of sources for MF gear.
The thing is the forum does not like commercial ads in the editorial section of the forum.

But if there were a dedicated "buying experiences" thread/forum, it would be a useful service to members.

My suggestion is not any form of commercial promotion place - just where members post a positive or negative buying experience.

So often we all look for guidance when acquiring gear privately or from a dealer in another city or country - this would provide an information source.

Of course any "defammatory" posts would be deleted - fair to say I was not satisfied; but unacceptabl to allege fraud/shonky dealings.

For example if a post read "....... and I wa unhappy and it was not resolved....." a member could obtain detailed information by PM.

Just an idea.

If one want to share positif Feedback, then Ebay allready does it.
The Ebay is even better as it's possible to put bad Feedback. Here the post are removed if there is any "bad" opinion.

Why making advertising for comercials user of "B", as it is not possible to link the fact that we (hasselbladinfio user) sale our old gear due to tha fact that we bought the new model.
A model bought on Hasselbladinfo in my case !

This forum gives an opportunity to post positive experiences with professional sellers of gear.
Do not make a complete ad out of these posts that is beyond the point.

Bad experiences are sometimes due to failure to read what is being offered.
It is unfair to blame a seller for that.
Unless a seller makes a habit of selling incorrectly described gear or behaves himself in any other way incorrectly the forum will not allow negative posts.

Please contact the moderator by pm if you have a bad experience.
Some negative feedback at evilbay is clearly undeserved.
A seller at ebay is a sitting duck as he or she can not defend him or herself.

Best advice: buy from forum users.
Most of them are well known by their posts.
Any issues can be dealt with by pm.
So far I have not heard from any disappointed buyers about gear offered in the classified section.
