Hi,

I must share with you all the arrival of a 905 SWC today. I was
after one for more than two years and last week everything came
together so nicely. Now my wife will have a hard time using her CFV :proud:

Have a good weekend, mine is secured :z04_carrot:

Best Regards,
Ralf

You second photograph indicates that there is no film in the film magazine.

Watch out for taking photographs of the back side of the lens cover. :z04_head_wall:

Enjoy.

Congratulations .

Ralf , you have aquired a fantastic camera .
When you use the CFV-16 with it , I do recommend to use the flash sync cable . This is out of my own experience .

Have a nice time in Paris and I wish you good light for good images .
Don't forget to take a fim magazine with you . :z04_photos:

Hi Steve,

Yeah, just attached a back to make that camera look more complete ;)

I developed some practice to handle those kind of cameras after taking
one roll of film from the back side of the lens cover of my Mamiya 7II:

The lens cover never leaves the photo bag !

Since then, it didn't happen again and hope it will not happen with the
SWC either :z04_nein1:

Best Regards,
Ralf

Congratulations Ralf!

I do not know whether this is your first SWC but this is certainly a moment to remember.

A trip to Paris or any other major city will show you what a wonderful little companion the SWC can be.
The SWC can be used almost in Leica M style because there is not much noise from the shutter or the filmtransport.
It is probably the worlds best point and shoot camera.
Not only the best but also the most expensive. Prices for good used ones are going up.

Enjoy your stay in the City of Lights.
Do not forget to show us what pictures you got from Paris.

Using SWC + CFV
Don't worry , if you forget to take the lens cover off , you will get a warning for an under exposed capture . Thats the time to check for an unremoved lens cover .
Happened to me the last time . Hahahaha :z04_kaputtlachen: and I laughed about myself .

Hi Jürgen,

You can be sure I will take film magazines, La Grande Arche de la Defense
is quite big and yearning for a 38mm medium format super wide.

Hi Paul,

Yes, that is my first SWC. Typically I don't post when new gear is arriving
but this 905 SWC is certainly a special camera. I'm very excited about it.

Best Regards,
Ralf

After taking six [yes, count them: :z04_head_wall: :z04_head_wall: :z04_head_wall: :z04_head_wall: :z04_head_wall: :z04_head_wall:] photographs of the lens cap on the first roll, I found a solution to the problem. I put yellow gaffers tape on the top of the lens hood and all around the lens cap. That way I see the yellow tape on the lens hood or the lens cap in the viewfinder as a reminder.

Steve

Congratulations! This is a wonderful camera. I love my 905, it's the best camera I have/will ever have.
