I need to make my mind up this next couple of days whether to buy a CFV-39 and sacrifice my M9 and a few lenses, or my Imacon. I've previously owned the CFV-16 which was delightful except for the severe crop factor which spoiled the wide end.
I did use the 16 on my SWC and the quality was fine. I read here and elsewhere that the 39 is not suited to the SWC. Can somebody advise whether the image quality is OK for the centre square, and if so, at what point outside the centre the image fails ?
Is it at the edges only ? Is it a colour problem only ? Anybody have an example of the problem to share ?
Is B&W without an issue for the full frame ?
At this moment, the trade seems like too high a price to pay for the convenience and instant gratification of digital feedback.
