Using Eyeglasses with Hasselbad

I just noticed that I can see better when using my reading glasses looking through the waistlevel finder. I had used my regular glasses like I do with all my other cameras for a shoot I did Sunday with my 500 ELM and 50 Distagon. Maybe that was part of the problem having a hard time seeing and focussing. This morning I set the camera on a tripod and put up a newspaper on the wall. I focused with my regular glasses and it was hard to see well. I was very surprised when I put on my reading glasses and saw the image much clearer using the waist level finder. Is this normal to use reading glasses instead of your regular prescription glasses? Seem now like a no-brainer to simply use the ones that you see better with. However, I can not use the reading glasses with any other camera other than the Hasselblad. Has anyone had this experience?

My regular eyeglasses are the 'seamless progressive' types. Offering three general focal lengths - close/medium/far. But when buying diopters for my old Nikon, I always selected the reading (close) diopter.

And everything viewed through the viewfinder comes into perfect focus without the use of glasses. (sorry I can't speak with authority about MF, because I've owned my Hasselblad for only 2 weeks)
