I think any kind of filtration and a hood are vitally important to protect the camera and especially the $3000+ dollar lens mounted to the camera.
So many people online test equipment, expensive Hasselblad equipment shooting without the hood attached. The hoods are not for show. The hood on any camera is vitally important to help reduce flare and increase image contrast especially on a sunny day. When a hood is mounted you can shoot closer to the sun without getting flare.
The UV filter is the first accessory I buy for any lens from any camera system. Especially a Hasselblad lens considering the cost, spending one to $3000 for a filter is great insurance. Does a UV filter improve image quality? Don’t know but it definitely will not hurt image quality especially if you buy a high-quality filter, Hasselblad, Hoya, B+W. My go to has always been the B+ W
